Overview
Rust is a multiplayer survival game developed by Facepunch Studios. Starting with nothing but a rock and a torch, players must harvest resources, craft tools, build shelters, and fight - or form alliances - with other players to stay alive in a hostile open world.
The game has grown into one of the most-played survival titles on Steam, with a peak concurrent player count exceeding 245,000.
My Role
As Lead Graphic Designer, I was responsible for the visual identity of Rust across all consumer-facing channels - from Steam capsule art and store pages to in-game UI, DLC key art, and promotional campaigns.

Design System
Working alongside the development team, I built and maintained a cohesive design language that evolved with the game over several years:
- Store assets - Steam capsules, banners, trailers, and seasonal campaign artwork
- DLC packaging - Key art, item previews, and promotional materials for over 30 DLC packs
- In-game UI - Inventory, crafting menus, map overlays, and HUD elements
- Web presence - Marketing site, patch note layouts, and community announcements
